The SEIB Burghley Sponsored Ride will take place on the 6th September 2015, on the final day of the world famous Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials. This year, participants will be riding round in the direction of the cross county course and will have new, exclusive access to more of the fences.

Run over a 12km course, the SEIB Insurance Brokers Sponsored Ride allows participants to get up close to the daunting Burghley Cross Country fences including the legendary Dairy Mound and Trout Hatchery.  Riders will also enjoy breath-taking views over the magnificent Burghley House and have the chance to explore the tracks and pathways of the vast Burghley Estate.  In previous years the course has been ridden in the opposite direction to the cross country course but this year’s participants will ride round in the same direction the cross country runs, allowing them to explore the jumps like never before. This will also be the first year the course will take you past, and beyond, the Trout Hatchery, giving a riders eye view of the heart stopping cross country fences that they have previously not had access to on the rider.

The SEIB Burghley Sponsored Ride is a great ride to do with friends, as a yard or club and, as it is open to riders 5 years and upwards, it is also the perfect event to participate in as a family.  The entry fee is £33 per rider, entries are open until Friday 28th August and you can enter online to take part in this spectacular ride. Prizes from Land Rover Burghley Horse trials will be awarded to 8 riders who raised the most sponsorship money. They will receive Burghley branded saddle covers, boot bags, jacket/suit carriers or a kit carriers.  Participants are encouraged to donate as much money as they can as 100% of the money raised by participants in the SEIB Burghley Sponsored Ride, plus their entries, will go to the chosen charities, World Horse Welfare, British Horse Society and South Kestevan RDA.

A schedule and entry form can be downloaded from the website which includes options to enter and pay online at or email for details on entering by post.  Entries will close on Friday 28th August.
