The Scottish Tilting Association in conjunction with Rockrose Equestrian are running a completely free demo/come and try day at Rockrose Equestrian Centre, East Lothian on Sunday 11th October from 10am to raise the profile of Tilting and get more people
involved in this fun sport. Horse and rider registration is available via the Rockrose website www.rockroseequestrian.com
There’s limited spaces for horses & riders, they’re going to be split into small groups and have a free training session on how to “tilt at the ring”. Spectators are very welcome and the whole event is free.
The ancient competitive sport of Tilting is hugely popular on the continent. Riders canter through the ‘gallows’ and spear a small metal ring with a lance. It’s easy to learn, horses really enjoy it, anyone can take part & it’s great fun!
We’ll be running a Tilting practice group a couple times a month at Rockrose. There’s a Facebook page for the Scottish Tilting Association with more information about the sport and lots of photos, link is https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=596802137080283
